rug acquired years ago from an elderly relative.
We sent photos to an oriental rug dealer in Indianapolis, and they confirmed that it was a top quality rug, hand-knotted, and just as the tag on the bottom of the rug states - HAND STITCHED IN PURE WORSTED WOOL IN KASHMIR INDIA - Part of the tag is hard to read as to the No.
and Design No.
, but appears to say Rose Trellis.
The rug could probably use cleaning, but there are no obvious stains on it.
The bottom of the rug is off white color, and has a few minor stains, which we have not tried to clean.
The bottom of the rug is a soft type weave, not the stiff burlap-like material that lower quality rugs may have.
Soft pastel colors- Similar rugs are often priced in the $1200.
to $1500 range, confirmed by the rug dealer.
