*TITLE: *Recovery Services Certified Peer Coach
*ROLE OVERVIEW: *The position of Recovery Services Certified
Peer Coach is responsible for the providing crisis support, crisis coordination and service delivery of the designated Crisis mental health and addiction model focusing on a peer recovery-based approach for those experiencing crisis.
This position provides crisis support, service coordination and peer support function to ensure the successful delivery of services for Turning Point clients.
This position supports all staff functions to utilize peer support principles across all internal and external stakeholder interactions.
*REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: *Lived Experience with Addiction/ Mental Health required for this position.
*REQUIRED EDUCATION: *Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
*REQUIRED LICENSE: *Certified Addiction Peer Recovery Coach or eligible; Certified Recovery Specialist or eligible.
Must have valid Indiana Driver’s License and reliable transportation with liability insurance coverage.
(Transportation of clients is required.
) *PREREQUISITE SKILLS:* * Demonstrated Client Service skills in past positions consistent with and necessary to carry out the Mission and leadership philosophy of Turning Point.
* Must possess cohesive collaboration skills, computer skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills, be dependable and timely.
* Willingness to provide value-driven services and supports consistent with the values and philosophy of Turning Point and Peer Support Services.
*REPORTS TO: Recovery Services Team Leader(s)* *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * The following functions describe the essential duties of this role.
Individuals in this role may not perform all of these duties, or may perform additional, related duties not listed here.
* Meets all Standard of Practice Guidelines by ICAADA and CCARS * Registered Member of ICAADA/ Indiana Recovery Network or to be registered * Has or in-process of attaining your CAPRC/ CRS Certification (standard within 90 days) * Has active, current and clear INDIANA Driver License.
*Experience* * Have Experience with Addiction and/or Mental Illness and a willingness to share your experience(s) and recovery.
* Knowledge of applicable ICAADA Peer Code of Ethics and CAPRC Standards of Practice * Previous experience working in a large and diverse organization(s) * Has a working knowledge of Microsoft products/applications.
* Has experience working with Mental Health, Judicial, Corrections and/or Health Department Agencies * Has working knowledge of Harm Reduction practices and materials *Competence* * Knowledge of community and social change * Effective caseload management processes * Ability to manage crisis situations * Peer Support risk-management experience * Being organized, systematic and able to make efficient use of available time * Demonstrates initiative, self-motivated and the ability to “read the need” * Ability to embrace diversity and work for cultural safety * Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external staff, partners and clients * Well-developed verbal and written communication skills * Commitment and knowledge to manage and minimize organizational risk * Assisting team members, Team Leaders, Director of Clinical Services, Director ofRecovery Services, CRS Navigators & CAPRCs to develop and implement integrated clinical processes that further the strategic aims of the organization.
* Supporting the execution of recovery-based clinical strategies that provide the clinical evidence necessary to meet regulatory and contractual requirements * Maintaining awareness of the breadth of Crisis Peer Recovery Services.
* Supporting the CAPRC/ CRS coaches by providing leadership and management oversight on grant activities, projects and initiatives to meet contractual and reporting obligations.
* Managing, coordinating and supporting staff members who deliver mental health services and/or addiction peer support to adults.
* Liaising with key stakeholders in the mental health sector and supporting staff who are leased out to agencies as Peer Coaches.
* Supporting the scheduling and management of internal and external crisis team.
* Ensuring reporting requirements are completed in a timely manner * Ensuring all peer support/operational and administrative tasks are coordinated and completed in a timely manner.
